Strategist, Facilitator and Social Innovator

I am a strategist, facilitator and social innovator with 15 years of nonprofit experience leveraging business, community and philanthropic resources to affect change and impact the lives of youth and families. A hybrid-entrepreneur, I operate a small graphic design and consulting firm helping authors, churches and businesses with publishing, branding and design needs.

On the weekends I serve as a youth leader in my church, providing programming and spiritual enrichment opportunities to youth and young adults. I am a workshop facilitator, conference host and speaker on topics ranging from business startup, personal development to innovation thinking. I have written and published five books, available where ever books are sold. I have created and led workshops for organizations such as Teen Hype Detroit, Madonna University, Detroit Public Schools, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit, Special Olympics Michigan, and Wayne State University to name a few.

Previously, I worked for one of the leading philanthropic organizations in southeast Michigan where I held responsibility for the development and management of a multi-million-dollar youth sports initiatives. Under my leadership we developed an innovative sports equipment sharing program to serve children in low income communities. I am also a former corporate development officer focused on securing large scale financial support from the business community for a multi-million-dollar nonprofit organization, resulting in six-figure gifts.

As a facilitator and strategist, I have traveled to Europe, Washington, D.C. and Western New York engaging in coalition building, and gaining learning that led to innovative program design and strategic grant making. I presently serve as Executive Director of a faith-based nonprofit community development organization seeking the holistic revitalization of Detroit’s 48214 community.

I enjoy time with my family, writing or reading a good book, ministry outreach, listening to Gospel Music and cooking.
